FAQ
What are VideoStamps?
A VideoStamp is a sticker or card that uses QR codes, enabling you to record a personal video message from your smartphone. Your video is “attached” to the QR code which can be viewed by a recipient with a smartphone.
How do VideoStamps work?
Each VideoStamp has a QR code. All you do is scan the QR code, record a personal video, and stick the VideoStamp to anything you choose – a card, gift, wrapped present, flowers… anything. The recipient of your VideoStamp scans the QR code and watches your video.
What can I use a VideoStamp for?
You can use a VideoStamp to replace any written note or message. During the holidays, use a VideoStamp instead of the old “To/From” tags on holiday gifts. Add a personal message to all your Christmas cards.
And that’s just the holidays. VideoStamps can be used for any gift-giving occasion. Send a secret love note with your Valentine’s or Anniversary gift. Add a special message on Mother’s and Father’s Days, birthdays, graduations, and retirements. Use them as a personalized “Thank You” message, congratulations, condolences, or just a friendly video note to a friend or family member to let them know you’re thinking of them.
Whenever a hand-written note will do, you can do one better with a VideoStamp video message. (You can also write a note on a VideoStamp sticker or card!)
Do I need to download an app?
Nope. VideoStamps require nothing but a smartphone that can scan a QR code and connect to the internet. The same goes for whoever receives your video. When you scan the QR code, the VideoStamps interface pulls up in a browser (iPhone or Android) and walks you through a simple, three-step process – Scan, Record, and Send.
Can the recipient reply?
Absolutely! VideoStamps is the only QR code-based, video message product available that allows the recipient to reply with their own video message or an emoji. You don't have to pay anything additional for this feature, it's included with all VideoStamps products.
Can I write on a VideoStamp Sticker or Card?
For sure! VideoStamps don’t require a permanent marker either. You can use a regular ballpoint or rollerball pen. However, we don’t recommend using gel pens or other pens that use a runny liquid. Regardless, we recommend spot testing your pen and giving the ink a few seconds to dry before handling it.
How long can my video be?
Your video can be up to 30 seconds in length.
How long will my video be available for the recipient?
Your message will be available for 6 months.
Can I re-record my message?
Yep! You have the options to View, Delete, Edit, and/or re-take your video before sending it. But, once it’s sent, you cannot make changes.
Can I download the video message to my phone?
Yes, you can. There is a way to save the video after you've sent it.
Can I use a video from my smartphone’s library?
Yes, but remember, it must be 30 seconds in length or shorter.
Can I attach the same video to multiple QR codes?
Not yet, but this is an upcoming feature.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes! In fact, no information is stored except your video. VideoStamps do not need your phone number, your name, email address or anything to work. It’s totally anonymous, keeping you and your personal information private.
Will a VideoStamp stick to anything?
A VideoStamp is like other adhesive stickers you have used. It will stick to paper, metal, wood, glass, and other solid surfaces. Ideally, the surface is clean and dry for optimum adhesion.
Can I remove a VideoStamp?
It's like any other sticker, so it's adhesiveness is affected by humidity, wear and tear, and the length of time the sticker has been stuck. All of which will impact whether you can remove the sticker cleanly.
How much does it cost to upload my video?
Nothing! Your video and the video reply (should you enable this feature) are included in the price of the product. There are no hidden fees.
