Cherry Garden

Words from the artist herself, Nooshin Farahpour: Growing up close to the Alborz mountain, north of Tehran, surrounded by cherry trees, my memories of those years are of being immersed in nature. My teenage years coincided with the revolution in Iran, leaving my options limited to expressing myself as a young woman. Via my perch on the cherry trees I observed everyday life, but when I climbed just far enough, I was in a world with no limit.  I am feeling grateful and thrilled seeing my painting from the memories of cherries I grew up with on an international level.  It is fulfilling that art has no borders….from my world in my backyard to the entire planet!!!!
